SUMMARY

Mild steel bollards are available in round or square mild steel tube or section. The bollards can be used to protect buildings, shutter doors etc. from accidental/deliberate vehicle impact. Ragged bollards are manufactured with ground fixing spikes to facilitate firm ground anchorage. Tubular bollards have a slightly domed welded steel cap. Supplied galvanised as standard, colour coated finishes are available to order. Bollards can be supplied with flanges for bolting down or as removable option with ground socket.

SPECIFICATION

• Internal galvanised steel cores are available for mild steel bollards for additional re-inforcement.
• Cores are available 500ag/500bg, 600ab/600bg or made to order.
• An RSJ is available to re-inforce 114 or 168 od bollards.
• For extra strength, fixed bollards can be filled with concrete on site, loose caps are available for bollards being filled with concrete.
• All steel bollards can also be supplied with flanges for bolting down or as removable versions with ground sockets.
• Re-inforced bollards are not available flanged for bolting down or removable.
• Colour coated reflective tape/banding is also available.
• All steel bollards are supplied galvanised finish as standard, colour coated finishes are available at extra cost.
• RAL of BS colour codes must be supplied for colour coated finishes.

Stepped bollards have a rescess suitable for reflective tape etc.

• Step height of stepped bollards is 150mm, will fit tape to 130mm.

INSTALLATION

Fixed versions – cast in to concrete to minimum 400mm deep by 300mm square, depending on ground conditions. Removables – 114mm diameter cast socket in to concrete approx 267mm deep by 300mm square, allowing for drainage from bottom of excavated socket hole. 150mm -165mm diameter cast in 400mm deep minimum by 300mm square minimum.
