SUMMARY
Polyurethane bollards are a modern material easily castable as a direct
replacement for the traditional cast iron bollard, with the additional benefit of
durability.
Advantages of polyurethane over
cast-iron include:
Typically polyurethane bollards weigh 35% of their cast iron equivalent.
Polyurethane does not corrode.
Under severe impact polyurethane will not shatter.
SPECIFICATION
Polyurethane bollards are cast in an engineering grade, heavy duty polymer, Ultrathane 6000 in 70D hardness. Fully pigmented and finished in black
polyurethane paint as standard, many other colours are available. Cast around a mild steel core with 300mm root and anchoring bar for casting in.
The Streetwise is a composite modern design made from engineering grade, heavy duty elastomeric polymer, Ultrathane 1000 in 97A hardness, incl. reflective band.
Removable version with ground socket is available at extra cost.
